TheStreet, Inc., a leading financial news and information provider, is seeking a Director, Acquisition Marketing to develop and grow web and email-based direct response customer acquisition programs. Ideal candidate has honed experience with acquiring qualified paid subscribers, generating revenue and improve customer experience through various marketing channels.

Responsibilities:
•Establish web, email, native and SEM strategy by researching, analyzing and defining customer requirements; identify target customers, analyze competitors' offerings, study company objectives for the product line
•Develop and implement test promotions, offers, and creative campaigns to drive subscription growth and maximize customer value
•Develop and execute business plans for building lead generation portals and micro-sites
•Drive customer segmentation and communication conversion strategies to move more free users to paid users (generating higher response rates and greater ROI)
•Use analytics tools to measure and report results of marketing campaigns and identify new opportunities
•Analyze and report on campaign performance and isolated campaign variable effectiveness
•Manage relationships with strategic partners
•Manage external vendors
•Develop and maintain a calendar of integrated marketing programs and promotions
•Establish revenue and expense targets for all direct marketing efforts and analyze promotion performance, including mailing and email response rates and ROI
•Develop, manage, and achieve program budgets/forecasts
•Work with partner, IT, and customer database management teams to measure and report tactical campaign performance and loyalty program performance
•Manage Manager, Acquisition Marketing

Qualifications:
•BA/BS degree
•6+ years acquisition/customer management and online marketing experience
•Strong knowledge of direct response principles and practices specifically in External, Website and Database marketing
•Membership, subscription or other continuity marketing experience preferred
•Experience and/or knowledge of/interest in investing and financial concepts a plus
•Strong analytical and reporting skills
•Proficiency in MS Office software applications (especially Word and Excel)
•Excellent project management skills with ability to multi-task and work well within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
•Strong interpersonal and written and oral communication skills, including excellent business writing and presentation skills
