Responsibilities:

Develop revenue for assigned accounts (agencies and client-direct) through active prospecting to meet and exceed annual revenue target.
Maintain a strong focus on being in-market, attending sales calls, client meetings and relationship building activities.
Strategically work with prospects to determine needs, marketing initiatives/objectives and budget, and develop effective sales proposals/solutions by customizing offerings based on prospective clients'objectves/business challenges.
Interpret client RFP requests and collaborate with internal account management and ad operations teams to develop effective sales proposals and solutions by utilizing a thorough understanding of appropriate and available inventory.
Work alongside the SVP of Media Revenue to conduct high-level client sales meetings and presentations to aggressively and professionally move the sales process towards agreement in a timely manner.
Provide sales team at large with ongoing strategic leadership and consultation by overseeing the development of custom solutions to drive ad sales/media revenue.
Build and maintain a strong ad product library by proactively identifying and developing monetization opportunities.
Direct the account management activities to drive account expansion and penetration, develop long-term relationships and ensure customer satisfaction to drive recurring/incremental business.
Direct/manage elements of sold custom programs by working with cross-functional internal teams to collaborate on content and resources required and acting as a liasion between client and internal teams to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction (ensuring execution of contract deliverables and maximum program optimization).
Develop compelling brand and audience stories, incorporating into sales materials (presentations and sell sheets) to start and continue conversations with prospective and current clients.
Establish and manage sales tools and vendor relationships to facilitate the ad sales process including, but not limited to, MediaRadar, Moat, comScore, etc.
Complete regular call reports, sales pipelines and revenue forecasts.
Directly manage sales team members (e.g., Account Manager and Account Executive).

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Master's degree encouraged
Extensive digital sales background with a minimum of 7 years of success in advertising sales, including understanding of the sales process from end to end- from prospecting, to proposal and presentation, close, campaign implementation, and post-analysis.
In-depth knowledge of interactive advertising and media landscape.
Ability to think strategically from a marketing perspective; a problem solver and creative thinker able to develop solutions based on customer needs.
Experience creating marketing strategies, using research to identify and develop unique brand positions and audience stories.
Ability to leverage analytics from past campaigns to inform future growth.
Ability to sell conceptual, multi-faceted and profitable advertising programs.
Highly developed written and oral presentation skills.
Ability to thrive in a high pressure, deadline oriented business environment.
Proficient in Powerpoint and Excel.
Knowledge of comScore, Google Analytics, Moat Analytics, and MediaRadar a plus.
Experience in financial vertical a plus.
