TheStreet, Inc. (www.thestreet.com), an award winning financial media company, is seeking a Legal Intern who will assist our Legal team on various special legal projects and administrative tasks. This is an outstanding opportunity to gain valuable work experience in the legal and financial fields in a public company environment. This is a fast-paced and innovative environment, often with multiple competing deadlines, so the ability to diligently multi-task is an invaluable skill.

Responsibilities:
• Perform legal and financial research as directed
• Review public company filings
• Draft business correspondence
• Maintain Board of Directors minute books
• Maintain business and legal records
• Perform and manage contract administration
• Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance testing
• Draft legal documents and prepare presentations
• Provide general administrative support for the Legal department

Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled and attending an accredited law school in the New York City area
• Availability to work on a part-time basis
• Ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong computer skills, with a proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Hard-working, trustworthy, and excellent analytical skills
• Excellent organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills
• Must be detail-oriented
• Strong interest in digital media and the financial markets
• Must be able to speak confidently to senior executives and board members
• Previous administrative/ office experience is preferred
