TheStreet, Inc., ( an award winning financial digital media company, is seeking a Telesales Relationship Leader whose primary function is to secure new sales opportunities, generate revenue, ensure retention and activation resulting in driving long term memberships in TheStreet’s Premium products. In addition to generating sales, this role will support the Sales Director with coaching and developing the Executives, executing lead management strategies and motivating the team to ensure goals are met.

Our clients are influential active investors around the world. If you have excellent communication skills, a knowledge of the markets, strong relationship building skills, can manage objections by demonstrating value and are great at networking and engaging people in conversation, this would be the right fit for you. Experience leading by example is a must.

The successful candidate will spend time working with existing accounts along with warm and prospect leads to better understand customer investment styles. Resulting in recommendations of one of TheStreet’s premium product lines that can best help that investor grow their earnings. The candidate will quickly become a top performer and support the team by sharing best practices, talking points and objection handling techniques.

The ideal candidate needs to be committed to the goals and vision of the Sales team and creating long-term subscription relationships with customers. This is a fast-paced and innovative environment, often with multiple competing deadlines, so the ability to diligently multi-task is an invaluable skill.

• Work within a dedicated sales territory as the primary contact for subscribers
• 70% of time managed working the leads and relationships
• 30% of time managed coaching and developing team members
• Manage and prioritize territory leads to ensure the best revenue opportunities are contacted
• Develop territory leads to generate revenue from new sales or renewals via outbound and inbound sales calls
• Serve as primary contact for all territory leads and manage all interactions with customer service to ensure subscriber needs are met
• Serve as the leader of the team for training and development
• Working with the Director to listen to sales calls and provide feedback to the executives
• Create job aids and talking points for Executives to increase sales
• Build upon relationships within existing accounts to upgrade into more sophisticated investment products and drive new business ideas across various product lines
• Increase member renewal value through product activation and education of subscribers
• Assess customer needs, prepare proposals and send out samples, when appropriate
• Collaborate and support sales team colleagues to ensure team goals are met
• Manage the inbound sales call queue
• Update systems to accurately reflect all client interactions
• Provide weekly reports summarizing Executive call sessions
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Director

Specific Requirements
• A passion for developing relationships to uncover and understand how our clients invest is a must-have for a successful candidate
• Leading by example and the ability to provide constructive feedback in a positive light
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage people at all levels in conversation
• Strong team member who can collaborate with others on the sales team to deliver best-in-class service to our clients
• Salesforce Experience is a plus (not required)

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• 2 years + prior experience in tele sales, field sales or customer service capacity preferred
• A track record as a top performer
• Stock market trading and investment knowledge required
• Outgoing, competitive, and positive personality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated, results-oriented team player who can also work well both independently and inter-departmentally with Marketing, Editorial and Finance department
• Motivated by the desire to constantly learn in a changing environment and actively contribute to a dynamic team structure
• Successful candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely
• Sponsorship will not be available for this position
