TheStreet, Inc. (, an award-winning financial digital media company is seeking a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Analyst to support our audience-development strategy. The SEO Analyst will have day-to-day responsibility for executing TheStreet’s SEO strategy, including on-site optimization, linking strategy, and competitive benchmarking. The candidate’s passion for SEO and a deep understanding must be obvious. They must exhibit a quantitative/analytical approach to SEO, flexibly collaborate, and communicate SEO approaches that satisfy visitors and product needs. The position must work closely with the editorial and product teams at TheStreet.

• Provides website recommendations that drive SEO goals and ensure strong presence
• Use best practices to link internal pages based on site focus and keyword volume
• Focus exclusively on white-hat SEO approaches, emphasizing the best execution and promotion of our high quality content and resources for human visitors, consistent with recommendations of major search engines
• Collaborate on the strategy and approach for PR, social, and inbound link strategies
• Analyze and review on-page and off-page metrics for and other sites in the network
• Perform diligence on prospective sites and create ongoing reports showing competitive benchmarking
• Use internal and external tools to provide or validate subject area and keyword targets for content ideation
• Establish clear SEO performance indicators that complement overall editorial, marketing and business objectives
• Collaborate with editorial to refine and execute SEO recommendations
• Recommend content approaches to gain natural attribution from authority sites
• Recommend information architecture to aid in search engine visibility
• Promote appropriate offsite and onsite activities that build ranking, authority and traffic

Required Skills & Experience:
• BS or equivalent degree or experience
• Minimum 3 years progressive successful experience implementing and guiding SEO practices for sites with substantial organic search traffic
• Additional 2+ years in a related online role
• History of building natural links to websites
• Proficient with SEO, web analytics and data analysis tools
• Solid technical understanding of web technologies, including search/web/internet protocols
• Knowledge of emerging trends and practices in search
• Strong familiarity and experience with online advertising and marketing models
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
