  • Elisabeth DeMarse was appointed Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of TheStreet, Inc. in March 2012. From October 2010 to March 2012, Ms. DeMarse was CEO of Newser, LLC, an online news service. Prior to Newser, she was founder and CEO of CreditCards.com Inc., which she created by acquiring the assets of ClickSuccess in Austin, Texas, Freedom Marketing in Colchester, UK, and the acquisition and buildout of numerous credit-related url’s. Previously, Elisabeth transformed iLife.com into Bankrate, Inc., engineering the turnaround of the company, driving exponential growth and creating $450 million in shareholder value. Bankrate was acquired for $560M by APAX in 2009; in August, 2010 Bankrate acquired Creditcards.com Inc. for $145M. Ms. DeMarse spent a decade as chief marketing officer for Bloomberg LP working directly for the founder, Michael Bloomberg, where she was instrumental in the formation of several media properties. She serves on the Board of Directors of AppNexus. 

    Ms. DeMarse is a graduate of HBS and a cum laude graduate of Wellesley College, She is a member of the Committee of 200. Awards include Working Mother of the Year, Dealmaker of the Year, Most Intriguing Person in Media, NOW Woman of Power and Influence, Fast Company Fast 50, Inc. 500, and ACG Award for Outstanding Corporate Growth.

  • John Ferrara brings more than 25 years of experience in operations, mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing, business development, strategic planning and corporate governance. Prior to joining the Company, he most recently held the position of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer since 2011 of Invmetrics Holdings, Inc. (formerly RogersCasey, LLC). Prior to Invmetrics, Mr. Ferrara served as Chief Financial Officer of EDGAR Online Inc., a provider of company data and public filings for equities, mutual funds and other publicly traded assets, from March 2008 to March 2010. Prior to EDGAR Online, Mr. Ferrara served as Interim Chief Financial Officer and Consultant of GAMCO Investors, Inc. (formerly, Gabelli Asset Management Inc.), a publicly traded investment management company, from May 2006 to December 2007. Prior to that, Mr. Ferrara served as Chief Executive Officer and President of The LGL Group, Inc. (formerly, Lynch Corp.), a holding company with diversified manufacturing operations, from October 2004 to December 2006. In addition, Mr. Ferrara has held Chief Financial Officer positions at Space Holding Corporation (1999 to 2002), a private multimedia company dedicated to space, science and technology, Golden Books Family Entertainment Inc. (1998 to 1999), a Nasdaq listed publisher, licensor, and marketer of entertainment products, and Renaissance Communications Corporation (1989 to 1997), an NYSE listed owner and operator of television stations.   

    Mr. Ferrara is a graduate of the Columbia University Business School.

  • Janet Guyon is currently the Editor in Chief of TheStreet. Previously she was managing editor of Investopedia and managing editor of FINS.com, the award winning career and job news website of The Wall Street Journal Digital Network. She was also a managing editor at Bloomberg News where, among other things, she ran bloomberg.com, increasing the audience threefold to over 16 million unique users a month and 350 million monthly page views. Bloomberg.com became one of the world's top 10 business and financial news sites under her leadership and won a number of journalism awards. 

    Prior to joining Bloomberg, Ms. Guyon spent nine years at Fortune magazine, mainly in London where in 1997 she reopened the publication’s European bureau. She served as Fortune's Europe editor, was a member of the publication's European `steer' committee, and appeared regularly on CNN, CNBC, the BBC and as a moderator at the World Economic Forum's annual Davos conference. She won the 2001 Magazine Journalist of the Year award from Britain’s Industrial Society, which hosts a panel of distinguished journalists to choose the best writing on business subjects. 
    Ms. Guyon spent the bulk of her career at The Wall Street Journal as a writer and editor in Atlanta, New York, Brussels and London. She is best known for her WSJ coverage of the telecom industry, General Electric and Eastern Europe after the fall of the Berlin Wall. 
     
    Ms. Guyon graduated from Duke University summa cum laude, with honors in economics and a second major in English literature.

  • Chief Technology Officer

  • Stefan Chopin is a seasoned technology professional that has spent his entire career in the financial services industry creating and operating sophisticated solutions for the trading, research and information publishing sectors. 

    Prior to working at TheStreet, Mr. Chopin was CTO of EDGAR Online where he created advanced analytic and compliance solutions for exchange listed companies. Prior to EDGAR Online, Mr. Chopin was CTO of E-Tran, Inc., a provider of payment and private label electronic bill-pay solutions to financial institutions. In 1995, he founded Pequot Systems Inc., to develop strategic e- business technology solutions for the financial services community. Pequot was subsequently acquired by iXL Inc. to form the basis of a Financial Services Industry Practice. Mr. Chopin assumed the role of CTO for the Financial Industry Practice at iXL and developed sophisticated trading and web-based wealth management solutions for international banks. Prior to Pequot, he was Vice President of Engineering for Micrognosis, Inc., a leading provider of high-end trading room solutions for the global financial services community. Mr. Chopin started his career at Singer & Friedlander, Ltd, a UK merchant bank. In 2010, he was awarded two patents relating to the display and analysis of financial information.

  • Chief Investment Officer and Co-Portfolio Manager of Jim Cramer’s Charitable Trust “Action Alerts Plus” 

  • Stephanie Link leads all investment, research, and contributor recruitment activities at TheStreet. As Chief Investment Officer, she oversees premium content including Real Money, Real Money Pro, Options Profits as well as premium newsletters including Breakout Stocks, Stocks Under $10, Trifecta, Dividend Stock Advisor and others. As co-portfolio manager of Action Alerts Plus, she is responsible for the daily management of the fund including macro strategy, portfolio construction, and stock selection. She also writes daily alerts and weekly summary reports for subscribers. 

    Ms. Link is a CNBC contributor and appears regularly on" Fast Money Halftime," "Closing Bell," "Squawk Box" and "The Kudlow Report."

    Prior to joining TheStreet, Ms. Link was Director of Research and Head of Institutional Equity Sales at Prudential Equity Group. She began her career as an institutional salesperson at Dean Witter. She earned a B.S Degree in Finance from Boston College.
