  • Elisabeth DeMarse was most recently CEO of Newser, an online news site. Prior to Newser, she served as CEO of CreditCards.com, which she created by acquiring the assets of ClickSuccess in Austin, Texas, and Freedom Marketing in Colchester, UK. Previously, Elisabeth was CEO of Ilife.com, which she transformed into Bankrate.com, and engineered the turnaround of the company, driving exponential growth and creating $450 million in shareholder value.

    Bankrate was acquired for $560M by APAX in 2009; in 2010 Bankrate acquired Creditcards.com. Prior to Bankrate, Elisabeth was a member of the management team of Hoover’s during its IPO. Elisabeth spent a decade as chief marketing officer for Bloomberg LP—working directly for the founder, Michael Bloomberg— where she was instrumental in the formation of Bloomberg News, Bloomberg Radio, Bloomberg Television, Bloomberg.com, Bloomberg Magazine, and the Bloomberg Book Division. Elisabeth serves on the Board of Directors of ZipRealty and Internet Patents Corporation. She is a graduate of Harvard Business School and a cum laude graduate of Wellesley College. She is a member of the Committee of 200. In 2008, she was named Working Mother of the Year.

 
  • John C. Ferrara

  • Chief Financial Officer

  • John brings more than 25 years of experience in operations, mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing, business development, strategic planning and corporate governance.  Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Ferrara most recently held the position of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer since 2011 of Invmetrics Holdings, Inc. (formerly RogersCasey, LLC).  Prior to Invmetrics, Mr. Ferrara served as Chief Financial Officer of EDGAR Online Inc., a provider of company data and public filings for equities, mutual funds and other publicly traded assets, from March 2008 to March 2010.  Prior to EDGAR Online, Mr. Ferrara served as Interim Chief Financial Officer and Consultant of GAMCO Investors, Inc. (formerly, Gabelli Asset Management Inc.), a publicly traded investment management company, from May 2006 to December 2007.  Prior to that, Mr. Ferrara served as Chief Executive Officer and President of The LGL Group, Inc. (formerly, Lynch Corp.), a holding company with diversified manufacturing operations, from October 2004 to December 2006.  In addition, Mr. Ferrara has held Chief Financial Officer positions at Space Holding Corporation (1999 to 2002), a private multimedia company dedicated to space, science and technology, Golden Books Family Entertainment Inc. (1998 to 1999), a Nasdaq listed publisher, licensor, and marketer of entertainment products, and Renaissance Communications Corporation (1989 to 1997), an NYSE listed owner and operator of television stations. 

     Mr. Ferrara is a graduate of the Columbia University Business School.

  • An award-winning editor, William Inman has spent more than 20 years in online journalism. At Bloomberg, Mr. Inman created that organization's publishing division including its magazines, e-books, newsletters and custom publishing. Mr. Inman relaunched and ran Bloomberg.com, adding an array of interactive tools and live webcasts on market movers. After Bloomberg, Mr. Inman ran Institutional Investor magazine as editor in chief, introducing new digital products in Asia and the US.

    Mr. Inman is a graduate of Duke University and lives in New York.

  • Stefan Chopin

  • Chief Technology Officer

  • Stefan is a seasoned technology professional that has spent his entire career in the financial services industry creating and operating sophisticated solutions for the trading, research and information publishing sectors.

    Most recently, Stefan was CTO of EDGAR Online where he created advanced analytic and compliance solutions for exchange listed companies.

    Prior to EDGAR Online, Stefan was CTO of E-Tran, Inc., a provider of payment and private label electronic bill-pay solutions to financial institutions. In 1995, Stefan founded Pequot Systems Inc., to develop strategic e- business technology solutions for the financial services community. Pequot was subsequently acquired by iXL Inc. to form the basis of a Financial Services Industry Practice. Stefan assumed the role of CTO for the Financial Industry Practice at iXL and developed sophisticated trading and web-based wealth management solutions for international banks. Prior to Pequot, Stefan was Vice President of Engineering for Micrognosis, Inc. Micrognosis was a leading provider of high-end trading room solutions for the global financial services community. Stefan started his career at Singer & Friedlander, Ltd, a UK merchant bank. In 2010, Stefan was awarded two patents relating to the display and analysis of financial information.

  • Stephanie Link

  • Director of Research, VP of Strategy

  • Stephanie Link is the director of research & vice president of strategy for TheStreet, and portfolio manager of Jim Cramer's charitable trust portfolio, Action Alerts PLUS. In this capacity, she develops a macro outlook, selects stocks and writes daily analysis. She also provides a weekly summary report of the strategy, positions and ranking of each stock in the fund.

    Strategy responsibility includes overseeing all content, talent and development of the Subscription Services sites. She appears regularly on Maria Bartiromo's "The Closing Bell," Larry Kudlow's "The Kudlow Report" and CNNaffiliate "The Wall Street Shuffle."

    She spent nine years at the Prudential Equity Group as a managing director in U.S. institutional sales and as the New York sales manager covering top national accounts. She was the managing director of equity research in her final year at the firm. Prior to that position, she worked at Dean Witter as an institutional sales person for six years. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration in finance from The School of Management at Boston College.
